From Part 2, the Capitol change the rule is so easy, they just do whatever they want. They gave the tributes more chances to survive, just because they wanted the game become more interesting. In my point of view, they changed rule is for this couple. If they had the ability to survive from arena, and how's their respond of survive together. I really think they will not let any happy ending happened in the tributes.
Yes, i think Katniss and Peeta will alive to walk away from the arena. Because Peeta talks about his love in the Quest 1, then many audiences pay more attention to them and support them, hope there will are some different toching plots in the hunger games to make it more interesting. The Capitol changes the rule is for seeing what will happen to Katniss and Peeta. And i believed this rule is changing for them, so the happy ending will exist if they overcome the difficulties. But i guess they need to play a very romantic emotion to moving the audience. Therefore,Katniss and Peeta, don't be sad, just do yourself for alive. Come on to show the true love in the disaster.

Are you talking about Peeta was in Career group, he advised them to wait under the tree? I think that it is good for Katniss. At that dangerous moment, give Katniss enough time to overcome the situation, it is a great help.
I think the reason why she waits for them is partly because of fear. she seems to act better while under pressure and has proved lethal in the right moments.
At the end of the chapter 18, the capitol changes a rule that two tributes win this year. Dose the author want to give a reader a little bit comfort because the capitol shows sympathy for the tributes, there is one more person to survive in the hunger games?
Why didn't Katniss just kill Cato while him and the other career tributes were sleeping? "Rue could have dropped the tracker jacker nest while Katniss quickly killed Cato and then Glimmer would still be killed by the tracker jackers and there would be two careers down and then Katniss and Rue would have a bunch of weapons. Rue would potentially be living if she had a good weapon."
Perhaps Rue would still be alive, you're right. However, remember that the careers are professionally trained...if even one of them had awoken during the raid, perhaps both Rue AND Katniss would have died. :s
When Peeta sew Katniss standing there does not running far way from Cato; he helped her escaping from Cato, and has been hurt on his lege. What do you think about Peeta's feeling?

Why Katniss would not use her bow to kill the careers at long range? I don’t understand why she is waiting for them to attack her?
