Objective: Over the course of the next five days you will write three (3) blog entries; one for each part of the book. Each post will be an 8-10 sentence response in the voice of one of the characters in
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. You may choose to write in the voice of the same character for all three sections of the text (Quests 1-3), or you can choose a new character for each post.
Evaluation: This will be evaluated as a media, oral communication and written piece. See the rubric below for expectations.

Katniss has just taken my place in the hunger
games. I couldn’t believe it. Without hesitation, she pushed me off stage and
took my place. She is so brave. I hope I can be like her some day. She’s smart
and strong. If it weren’t for Katniss, I
wouldn’t have my goat. I’m so worried about her. I wonder what will happen. I
hope she doesn’t get hurt. I can’t wait to go home and watch her on TV. I miss
her so.

After the death of my father in the mine explosion, I became the main responsible person of my family as my mother suffered from depression or I didn’t know what the disease was. She did not look after me and my sister. I love my sister very much so i thought of participating at the hunger games as a volunteer in place of her. My sister told me that I would win the game as I knew the techniques. Although she knew that there were less chances of winning the game, she encouraged me before I left them. I knew it’s the love of my sister for me. She would be watching the game on TV till the end of the game. But I don’t know the ending of the game.

ReplyDeleteI was a happiest woman in the world. When i lost my husband in the mines exploring, i was felt everything black around me. I didn't knew how to take care of my daughters Katniss and Prim, because i was deep depressed, even i didn't take care of myself also. At the time my elder daughter Katniss was take over me and Prim. Last five years she did everything we need for our life. Now she was volunteering to take place in the Hunger Games. How do i going to handle this situation? I can't alive, if i will loose another member of my family. Now only i can do, i will pray to save my daughter Katniss life. I will strongly believe she will be win that game.

I am the luckiest girl to get Katniss as my sister who loves and cares me more than herself. After my father’s death, my sister Katniss looked after me and my mother. She is very bold and hardworking girl who was engaged in hunting for the survival of my family. When I was selected for the Hunger Games from district 12, she replaced me and presented herself as a volunteer. I don’t have too much confidence about the outcome of the game but I wish she would win. From today onwards, I will be watching her on TV. I pray god to return my sister as a winner. I don’t want to lose her. As I too love her very much. I always want her to be with me and my mother.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was in an interview with Caesar Flickerman on the stage of Hunger Games, I declared that I am in love with Katniss. Both of us are from district 12. I don’t know how and when I fell in love with her. As she heard about my declaration, she became very angry and pushed me unknowingly on my chest and I got an accident. She saw my wound with blood and she felt sad. I inquired about her boyfriend and her relationship with him but she ignored saying that she had not relationship with anybody as I was jealous with her hunting friend Gale. Mr. Haymitch named us as the star – crossed lovers from district 12. I don’t know what feelings she has for me but I am always kind and helpful towards her. I would do my best for Katniss to survive in the Hunger Games too. I join the Careers in order to lead them away from her as they knew her skills and techniques of hunting. I hope that one day she will really fall in love with me after knowing the truth why I joined the careers.
ReplyDeleteRue's dead. I am grateful for Katniss trying to help her. She wasn't very strong and she didn't have any weapons but Katniss took her along as her ally. I've killed one of the career girls after she tried to kill Katniss. Katniss get's a pass this one time because it is the hunger games and the did kill Rue. She was like a little sister to me. I will not give her another pass when I see her again; it's either going to be me or Katniss...
ReplyDeleteToday I'm very happy.Finally, I and Peeta are the winners.when I met Haymitch and he talked about the coaching, I was little bit uncomfortable in front of Peeta.HE knew nothing about it.I know he is in love with me but he didnot know I was pretending as her beloved during the game. when he came to know he was sad. I really feel bad for him. But I'm confused myself that am I also in love with Peeta? shoould I listen to my mind or heart? I really don't know. oh god please help me.
ReplyDeleteA few steps into woods grows a bank of wildflowers. Perhaps they are really weed of some sort, but they have blossoms in beautiful shade of violet and yellow and white. i gather up an armful and come back to rues side. slowly, one stream at a time, i decorate her body in the flowers. covering the ugly wound. wreathing her face, weaving her hair with bright colors. I was so sad when rue killed from the boy in district 1. I m too late to protect rue.i just need to do is win the game for rue.

Me saving her life, her saving mine, all those kisses just for entertainment? meaningless romance? i refuse to believe that Katniss only pretended to love me I know she'll chose me over Gale, regardless of their similar past experiences.
